Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITP) has optioned soon-to-launch format Dating With Dogs in 12 countries, including the US and the UK.
WBITP has also taken exclusive rights to the format, which makes its debut later this month on TF1 Group’s TFX, in Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands and Flemish-speaking Belgium.
Magis TV, the company behind the adaptation of Farmer Wants a Wife for RTL, has become the exclusive production partner of the format in Germany.
The format is sold by London-based Can’t Stop Media and was created by Coyote, the company behind the French adaptations of Four In A Bed and Tattoo Cover, in association with ADSA (Stéphane Ribeiro and Christelle Parlanti).
Each weekly self-contained episode introduces two singletons with several suitors and their dogs. All are single and want to find love, but are held back by their dogs, with the show tracking if suitable partners can be found.
