It may be 2023 has only just begun but that hasn’t stopped multiple dating rumors in the K-pop world from emerging, including one involving NCT 127 Taeyong and actress Park Ju Hyun. The actress’s agency has responded promptly to the dating rumors.
K-pop and K-drama stars’ romance stories are one of the most loved fairytales in the South Korean entertainment industry, where the best of both worlds collide to create a real-life drama. Some of the most talked about K-pop and K-drama couples include IU and Lee Jong Suk (fairly new), Rain and Kim Tae Hee, and Big Bang’s Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin.
But along with the swoon-worthy love stories, friendships between K-pop and K-drama stars are equally adored by fans. And it appears NCT Taeyong’s dating rumor leans more towards a story of friendship than romance.
NCT Taeyong and Park Ju Hyun dating rumors debunked
The NCT Taeyong and Park Ju Hyun dating rumors appear to originate from a South Korean online community post by an anonymous user. They claimed the K-pop star often plays video games with Park Ju Hyun and the Love All Play star even watched an NCT 127 concert from seats reserved for the band’s family.
After the post received engagement, however, Park Ju Hyun’s agency rushed to debunk the dating rumors, stating: “Actress Park Ju Hyun and NCT’s Taeyong are just friends.” NCT’s label SM Entertainment issued a similar statement.
On top of that, Ju Hyun enjoys attending concerts and, apart from NCT 127’s tour, the actress has also watched IU. The agency wrote: “She personally attended singer-and-actress IU’s concert and posted a picture, and she has shared proof of herself attending various other concerts besides that.”
NCT Taeyong and Park Ju Hyun’s friendship
While the dating rumor might be false, Taeyong and Park Ju Hyun appear to be good friends. The Korean stars are quite close in age, Taeyong is 27 and Ju Hyun is 28, while they share a common interest.
Ju Hyun’s agency revealed: “Park Ju Hyun enjoys playing games as a hobby and has great affection for them to the extent she posted a video about online games such as League Of Legends on her personal YouTube channel.
“She and NCT member Taeyong are just friends who game together and nothing more than that. Actress Park Ju Hyun is very sociable and has an active personality, so she has diverse friendships and maintains a wide network.”
NCT 127 to make comeback with repackaged album
So far, 2023 has been eventful for NCT 127 fans as the group are currently on their US and Latin America tour.
Right after the tour ends, NCT 127 are all set to make their recording comeback with Ay Yo, which is due to be released on Monday, January 30 at 6pm KST/ 4am ET.
