Calling all Miley Cyrus fans! After three years, the “Prisoner” singer is back with a new, soon-to-be-released album titled Endless Summer Vacation. Her eighth album, which she describes as a “love letter to L.A.,” per a press release, is scheduled to be released on Friday, March 10.
Miley’s last album Plastic Hearts (2020) was all about her divorce from her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, the loss of her home in the California wildfires, and other personal struggles. Now, a new single “Flowers,” which arrives January 13, takes a softer approach and the song has a lot of people wondering what she’s been up to, and who she’s sharing her life with these days.

Nick Jonas (2006)
If you grew up in the Miley Cyrus-Hannah Montana era, you’ll remember how much of a moment her relationship with Nick Jonas was. When the photos of these two at Six Flags went viral (see above), the Internet was quick to crown them as the Disney Channel “it-couple.” Unfortunately, their romance didn’t last long, and the couple called it quits in December 2007.
Justin Gaston (2008)
A year after her split with Nick, Miley moved on to date model Justin Gaston. The couple was rumored to have been introduced by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. They broke things off nine months later.
Liam Hemsworth (2009)
Miley and Liam Hemsworth met on the set of The Last Song and started dating in 2009. However, they didn’t make things red carpet-official until an Oscars event in 2010. From the very beginning of their relationship, the two were on-and-off-again. They hit a rocky moment around 2011 before reuniting in 2012. That same year, Liam popped the question, and the two got engaged.
One year later, Miley and Liam called it quits and ended their engagement. But they gave fans a glimmer of hope that things might not be over just yet when they got back together in 2016 and…got engaged again. The duo officially tied the knot in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 23, 2018, in a close-knit ceremony.
Eight months after their wedding, fans were shocked to learn that despite multiple efforts to make things work, Miley and Liam decided to split.
“Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated, and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” Liam wrote in a post on Instagram.
Their divorce was finalized in 2020.
Michael Len Williams II (a.k.a Mike WiLL Made-It) (2013)
Throughout Miley’s rocky relationship with Liam, she was also rumored to be dating other celebs, including producer Mike WiLL Made-It.
Miley and Mike collaborated to create her Bangerz album, and some sources suggested that they had been dating under the radar for almost nine months. Once Mike caught wind of the rumors, he seemed to shut them down on Twitter, albeit somewhat indirectly. “Crazy how u can make something out of nothing,” he tweeted.
It’s not clear what (or who) he was referring to, but you guys can be the judge on this one.
Jared Leto (2014)
In 2014, Miley and Jared were reportedly “hooking up.” They were first spotted chatting at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys party, per US Weekly. But apparently, they knew each other before the party.
The couple never officially announced their ‘ship, and a source told US Weekly that Jared “doesn’t do girlfriends,” but that he and Miley “like to have a good time, they love to talk about art and music—and they’re both comfortable with nudity!”
Patrick Schwarzenegger (2014)
Patrick and Miley spent a *lot* of time getting to know each other in early 2014. But after Patrick was photographed with another woman at a party in Cabo, their relationship was looking rough. “Miley is embarrassed about the photos and Patrick is devastated about that because he really cares about her,” a source told People. “They’re trying to work this through.”
Patrick denied the claims on Twitter, explaining that the woman in question was just a friend’s girlfriend.
It seemed as though Miley and Patrick had attempted to patch things over, but they called it quits five months in. “They’re just in two different places in their lives—he’s in college, and she’s focused on her music and career,” a source revealed to People.
Stell Maxwell (2015)
In 2015, Stella revealed to V Magazine that she and Miley met through mutual friends. During the time they dated, a video surfaced of the pair making out off-set during filming for one of Miley’s music videos.
That year, Miley also came out as pansexual. “I’m very open about it—I’m pansexual. But I’m not in a relationship. I’m 22, I’m going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I’m with,” per E!.
Kaitlynn Carter (2019)
Miley and Kaitlynn were first seen kissing on a yacht in Lake Como in August of 2019. They also took trips to New York and Los Angeles together before ending things a month later.
Now, Kaitlynn has a baby boy and is getting ready to welcome another child in the coming months with Kristopher Brock.
Cody Simpson (2019)
Cody and Miley had a friendship for over 10 years before they became an item. “Miley is one of my best friends, and she helps with some of that transitional stuff—trying to escape your childhood. She’s super open-minded, and I’m working on becoming more like that,” Cody told GQ Australia in 2015.
The couple posted photos of each other on social media, spent the holidays with each other’s families, and even got matching tattoos.
After 10 months, they broke things off, and all social media photos taken together were deleted. They even unfollowed each other on Instagram. “We went from being good friends, to just having a lot of the same friends, to being together for a while,” Cody said during an appearance on 60 Minutes, per The Daily Mail. “Everything ended fairly amicably, and it was just one of those phases, I guess. You go through [it] and you learn a lot from it.”
Maxx Morando (2021)
Miley first met Maxx met through mutual friends and the couple has been going strong ever since. The pop star has also made it a priority to keep her relationship with the Liily’s drummer private.
“Miley and Maxx are still going strong and their relationship is very serious,” a source told E! last October. “They have been together for about a year now and Miley is really happy. Everyone in her family loves them together and thinks they mesh really well.”
