It’s almost time for season 3 of Netflix’s best reality dating show, Love is Blind. Despite the lack of success of the couples in the last season (all of which have now separated), it’s still exciting to dive back into the social experiment of the show. After all, it would appear we still have yet to find out if love is truly blind.
Netflix series Love is Blind season 3 premise
Here is the official synopsis for season 3:
“Nick and Vanessa Lachey host this social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.”
The show starts with single men and women meeting for dates in pods where they cannot see each other. The idea is that they must fall in love simply by talking, without letting the other person’s appearance influence them. At the end of this stage, couples who have gotten engaged move onto the next step: a luxurious beach getaway where they finally get to spend time together face-to-face. But the most challenging part is the return to something resembling their real lives: they get to live in apartments provided by the show but return to work and meet each other’s friends and families. Then, it’s up to each couple to decide if they’ll say “I do” at the altar or walk away.
While the first two seasons were centered in Chicago and Atlanta, the newest one has pulled people from Dallas, Texas.
Our opinion of the premise
Love is Blind has one of the most interesting premises of any reality dating show out there, with the ability to watch multiple couples trying to make a relationship work much more interesting than watching lots of contestants vie for a single person. The issues that arise, whether it’s a clash of living styles or family disapproval, feel much more like the things that you would hear about from your friends because there’s a layer of reality to it.

The dating reality series will be released globally on Netflix on Friday, October 19th, at 12 am PT.
There will be a total of 12 episodes. Episodes will be released in batches on October 19, October 26, November 2, and November 9.

Hopefully, this season will yield as many dramatic moments and fan-favorite contestants as the past two – along with a few contestants that we all love to hate. There’s already talk online of filming for future seasons, so this seems like one Netflix reality show that’s here to stay.
