Julia Fox is interested in dating women and exploring her “gay bone.” In a preview of Fox’s forthcoming interview on Ziwe Fumudoh’s eponymous Showtime series, Fox said she’s not dating right now. “Why would I waste my time?” the actress said.
When Fumudoh asked whether she would consider dating women, Fox replied: “I, like, have been thinking about it a lot recently. Because I do think maybe I have some, you know—I have a gay bone and I need to explore that a little bit more. Like maybe my ex-boyfriends weren’t wrong when they were calling me a lesbian and complaining that I never wanted to have sex with them.”

“I can find love in all places and all races,” Fox continued. But on the topic of men, she added: “They all, like, are equally horrible to be honest—all men. Like I can’t… It’s just a man thing.”
Earlier this year, Fox was in an open relationship with rapper Kanye West for roughly six weeks before splitting up. In an interview with ES magazine, Fox spoke about her reasons for walking away.
“Real life set in and the lifestyle wasn’t sustainable,” she said. “I couldn’t fly away once a week. And I tapped out at the first sign of a red flag.”
The red flag(s) in question, Fox implied, were “unresolved issues” stemming from West’s ongoing divorce from ex-wife Kim Kardashian. “It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have time for it, or energy,” she admitted. “I don’t have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it.” Fox’s one-year-old son Valentino was born in December 2020.
“I’m proud of myself for that,” Fox added of her decision to dump West. “Pre-Valentino Julia would have definitely stuck it out and been there for longer.”
