I still love Millie to bits – I’m her biggest fan and I’m lonely since she left, says Love Island’s Liam Reardon

LOVE Island star Liam Reardon has revealed that he still “loves Millie to bits” despite their shock split after a year of dating.

The reality TV star – who rose to fame alongside Millie Court on the ITV2 dating show last year – revealed the exes are still in touch.

Love Island winners Liam, 23, and his ex-girlfriend Millie, 25, shocked fans when they announced they had decided to split up in July.

However, the Celebs Go Dating star admitted that he still has “love” for his former co-star, and is her “biggest fan”.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun at The Last Heist premiere, Liam gushed over Millie: “She’s doing amazing. I’m still her biggest fan.

“You know, I still love her to bits and she’s still doing great,” he added, when asked if they were still in contact despite their break-up.

Since his break-up, Liam has signed up for Celebs Go Dating – which he teased was because he wasn’t ready to “jump into” dating again.

“I didn’t really feel ready to jump straight back out there, so I wanted to go on the show and do it in a controlled environment,” he said.

“Yeah, I’m taking things easy and working on myself as well. Honestly, I’ve just finished the show, there are a lot of dates on there.”

He added: “There were some awesome, awesome, great dates. I met some lovely women. I can’t tell you too much about it. But it was a great time I really enjoyed it. “

It comes after Liam moved into his own home after splitting from Millie and moving out of their Essex property.

The popular couple shot to fame on the ITV show, easily beating their co-stars to the £50,000 prize pot.

But a year after finding love, they announced they’d gone their separate ways, leaving fans stunned.

Millie said on Instagram: “To avoid any speculation Liam and I wanted to share with you that we have separated.

“It’s been a tough decision and I am gutted but it’s ultimately what is best for us right now. Thank you to every single one of you for supporting our relationship.

“Nothing will ever take away from the amazing experience we shared in Love Island and the past year and I wish Liam all the best in everything he does.

“We’re both ready for new chapters and I’m excited for what’s next. Love, Millie.”

The couple cuddled up on holiday in Portugal at a friend’s wedding just two weeks before officially separating.

A source told the Mail that the pair had been growing apart for some time.

They said: “It’s been really hard for both Millie and Liam to come to this decision but after weeks of growing apart, they have come to the conclusion it’s the best thing for them both.

“There has been no drama or wrongdoing and they both still fully support each other and will remain close friends.”

The Last Heist will be available on Digital Download from 14th November
