Hit Dating Show Love Island Gets Malta Edition To Be Aired In 2023

Are you ready to see all your favourite local celebrities thrown together into a villa and coupled up?

Are you single, and looking? No need to go to Paceville anymore as a new series all about dating on the island has just been announced – Love Island Malta.

If you haven’t seen the show before, Love Island is an international series franchise originating in the UK, in 2005, originally named Celebrity Love Island.

The contestants are singles called ‘islanders’, where contestants have to couple up as to not be removed from the villa.

Fans are also needed to vote for their favourite couples. The final winning couple is also determined by the public.

Media Exclusive Limited announced Love Island Malta will take place on TVM in 2023, in collaboration with ITV Studios, calling it the first dating reality show of its kind to grace Maltese television and the largest TV production in Malta to date.

“Love Island will follow gorgeous singles in a spectacular villa on their quest for true love. The islanders are in a race against time to couple up, as anyone who stays single risks being eliminated from the villa and leaves the lucrative cash prize behind. In this competition, the best and most loved couple will be crowned, Love Island winners. Featuring a captivating search for love, Love Island attracts younger audiences and appeals to every generation – isn’t finding love something we all want.”

Love Island is broadcast in more than 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, the USA, Australia, Spain, the Netherlands, and Norway. Over four million viewers watch Love Island UK each season and in January 2023 they will be showing the second edition of the Winter Edition.
