Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has opened up about her relationship with Davide Sanclimenti, saying it’s been a struggle to have the world watching on.
After winning the reality dating show back in August, there have been claims of trouble in paradise for the couple as they spend more time apart.
Last weekend, while Ekin-Su was working on a photoshoot in Rome, her Italian boyfriend was partying it up in Ibiza.
Soon after she posted to social media saying ‘to all my fans supporting me all the time. I love you’.
But now, the Turkish model and actress has said that while they are still very much together, she’s found it difficult to navigate dating under a spotlight.
‘One thing I’ve learnt in this relationship, you have to trust your boyfriend or girlfriend because in the public eye, it’s not easy,’ she told OK!.
‘Especially when people will make up rumours or say things, or they see things, or things could look different from a picture.
‘You just have to communicate with your partner, trust your partner and keep your relationship private.’
Although they had a tumultuous time in the villa at first (with their explosive argument seeing him label her a ‘liar’), the pair eventually worked things out, and have recently hinted that marriage could be on the cards.
Last month she joked to This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that they might ‘be next’, following the four marriages and eight babies Love Island has already produced.
In the meantime, fans won’t have to wait long to see them on screen again, with their new Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings series announced last week.
In it, the couple will travel to their respective hometowns in Italy (where more tiramisu might be on its way) and Turkey, while Ekin-Su is also currently in training for the upcoming season of Dancing on Ice.
Although Ekin-Su and Davide have managed to make it work following the show wrapping, it appears that Adam Collard and Paige Thorne have now split, with Paige deleting all traces of him on her social media in recent days following cheating rumours.
However rest assured, the other remaining couples—Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Andrew Le Page and Tash Ghouri and Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack—are all still going strong, with all posting photos together recently.
