As we say farewell to 2022, some of us will be looking to welcome a new love in the New Year. Thanks to the pandemic dating has changed significantly over the last two and half years. According to Bumble here are few things to lookout for in the dating game in 2023
Looks aren’t everything
According to a survey, over a third of people are willing to date beyond their usual physical type. About 28% of respondents said that they are not worried about what others think of their new mate. Almost 6 out of 10 daters are putting more value in emotional maturity than physical looks.
More emphasis on work/life balance
In 2023 work life balance will be front and center. Almost half of those surveyed are making it a goal to balance out their life when it comes to their nine to five. 1 in 1o daters said they will not date someone who has a time consuming job. So if you are getting back into the dating game make sure you know how to leave work at work.
Long distance relationships are in
After the COVID lockdowns, people want to travel more. With many companies allowing people to work remotely, singles are more likely to consider dating long distance and even internationally. According to Bumble, One-third of daters are now more open to relationships with people who are not in their current city.
Newly single people will be entering the dating scene
The lock downs caused many breakups, and there are newly-single folks who are back on the market. 39% of people on Bumble have ended a serious relationship in the past two years! Needless to say there will be a lot of daters out there who may be a bit rusty when it comes to the game of love.
